From 2014 to 2018, my career focused primarily on marketing, where I worked across graphic design, event and project management, webinars, digital content, and IT support. Although my roles were marketing-focused, much of my day-to-day work involved creative production and technical problem-solving. During this time, I also collaborated with local start-ups and established businesses, providing creative support and marketing consultations.
In 2019, I transitioned into broadcast media, moving into a Media Operations Manager role. This felt like a natural progression, combining my technical knowledge with my creative background. I have since progressed to the role of Playout Director, where I manage the broadcast delivery of multiple television channels, ensuring content is transmitted accurately and efficiently.
Throughout my media career, I have worked with a wide range of UK broadcasters and media organisations, including Channel 4, BBC, Channel 5, UKTV, Eurosport, Warner Bros., Discovery, Kerrang, and Kiss, alongside international networks such as SBS (Australia), NHK (Japan), and Scandinavian free-to-air channels.
My experience covers a broad range of broadcast workflows, from content ingest and media asset management through to transmission and VOD delivery. Working predominantly in post-production and playout has developed strong attention to detail, fast decision-making, and the ability to manage complex live environments across multiple systems and screens.
Alongside my operational experience, I have developed a strong understanding of the wider media production process and continue to expand my involvement across creative projects, including photography and content creation.
Industries worked across include: broadcast media, sports, recruitment, legal, software, manufacturing, events, marketing, and IT.
Currently based between Kent, UK and Riga, Latvia.
